Entering your waste data in ORIS CO2 Calculator when using European waste codes (EWC/AVV)
The "Waste" module in ORIS requires you to break down your volumes into 9 fixed categories (Plastics, Metals, Oils, Chemicals, Paper/cardboard, Radioactive materials, Rubber, Other non-hazardous, Other hazardous). If you track your waste using your usual waste codes (e.g. 6-digit European codes), here is a correspondence sheet to help you report them in ORIS.
📎 Mapping_Codes_Waste_EWC_ORIS.xlsx
How to use it- Look up your waste codes in the above sheet (use the filter at the top of the column to search for a code).
- Note the corresponding ORIS category shown next to it.
- Sum your tonnages by ORIS category, then enter the totals into the tool.
