A starting point for your work in ORIS
A starting point for your work in ORIS
The ORIS homepage provides centralised access to everything you need to start, continue, and manage your assessment work. From here, you can create new assets, pick up recent work, navigate across all your workspaces, and access your custom libraries. The homepage is organised into two main areas: a central workspace area and a left sidebar, each serving a distinct purpose within your day-to-day workflow.
The central workspace area
The central area of the homepage serves two purposes: creating new assets and resuming recent work.
- From this area you can create a new Material Assessment, Project Portfolio, or Workspace without having to navigate elsewhere first.
- Alongside the creation options, the central area displays your most recently accessed assets, making it easy to pick up exactly where you left off, without searching through a full asset list.
Quick continuity
Recent assets are displayed by last accessed, so the central area acts as a shortcut to your active work. For teams managing multiple concurrent projects, this reduces the time spent navigating and keeps focus on assessment work.
The left sidebar
The left sidebar provides structured access to all of your assets and workspaces. It is organised into two main areas: workspace selection at the top and asset navigation below.
Workspace selection
A dropdown at the top of the sidebar lets you switch between workspaces. This is particularly useful for users who work across multiple project environments. Next to the dropdown, a circle with three dots gives access to workspace management and user access.
Asset navigation
Below the workspace selector, the sidebar displays the three main asset sections: Material Assessments, Project Portfolios, and Private Production Sites. Clicking any section opens a new column to the right with the full list of assets of that type within the selected workspace.
Having all asset types in a single, persistent sidebar means you can move between different parts of your work without losing context or returning to the homepage each time.
Custom libraries
At the bottom left corner of the sidebar, My Libraries gives access to your custom Construction Operations Libraries. These allow you to define reusable sets of equipment, personnel, and operations that can be applied across your assessments. Libraries can be scoped to your personal account or shared across your organisation.
Learning resources and tools
In the global navigation bar, clicking the play icon in the top right corner opens the Demo Hub, where you can browse and launch interactive demos of ORIS features at any time.
From within the Demo Hub, clicking Get Help gives you access to three resources:
-
The ORIS Knowledge Base, with dedicated articles covering getting started guides, core features, and best practices and user Tips
-
The Toolbox, a collection of calculators specifically designed for infrastructure engineers, covering topics from materials mix design to the energy consumption of tunnel-boring operations, drawing on country-specific databases;
-
Direct access to the ORIS support team.
